2017 World Series Predictions

Wagering is great way to take part in sports because one does not need to have a best interest in the teams playing in the game in order to enjoy it. Just like every other year, a new year means a new beginning for teams.  Since most end on a losing note, that means a chance to get better. With teams getting closer to reporting for spring training, it's time to start focusing on the 2017 season.  There are a lot of teams who made moves to try and improve.  Everyone wants a shot at knocking off the Chicago Cubs and denying them a chance to repeat.  Here are the teams that are most likely to win it all in October. The Chicago Cubs cashed bets for a lot of people last year.  They are one of the most followed teams in the league.  It seems like from the start of the season through the playoffs this team was in control of their destiny.  They took the confidence of winning a lot of regular season games into the postseason, where they rolled through and finally beat the Cleveland Indians for the title.  The team brings back most of their players from a year ago, but a few key pieces will be missing.  How well Theo Epstein replaces them, how well the young guys do, and how much the stars can improve will all factor in to how this team does this summer. The Boston Red Sox are a team that is likely to do some damage this summer.  The addition of Chris Sale bolsters an already incredible pitching staff that has David Price.  The bullpen has the best closer in the game with Craig Kimbrel.  And this was one of the most dominant offenses in all of baseball a year ago with Mookie Betts, Dustin Pedroia, Hanley Ramirez, and more. In the National League don't sleep on the Los Angeles Dodgers.  They have the best starter in the game in Clayton Kershaw, they have a lot of young stars like Corey Seager, and most importantly they have money.  Management isn't afraid to go out and spend some dollars to get whatever the team lacks. Also in the NL is the Washington Nationals.  Another team chalked full of young talent to go with stud pitching.  Max Scherzer is a perennial contender for the Cy Young.  Bryce Harper is one of the best young bats in the game.  I really think this team is a contender. Last year's runner ups, the Cleveland Indians will also have Michael Brantley back after missing last year due to injury.  The pitching staff is tremendous with Corey Kluber, Danny Salazar, and Carlos Carrasco.  Andrew Miller had a coming out party in the playoffs when he showed everyone closing the game isn't the only thing that matters.  Jason Kipnis, Francisco Lindor, Carlos Santana, and newcomer Edwin Encarnacion should help the team score plenty of runs. The 2017 World Series is likely to bring about something to smile about, at least for the fans of the two teams who end up playing for the title.  Right now it's looking like a Chicago Cubs and Boston Red Sox finale.  Both of these teams have recently shed their curses and won titles for their hometowns, and it would make for a great series simply because of the rapid fan bases for both teams.
